Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity/Expression

The Office of Student Diversity & Inclusion (OSDI) provides support, advocacy and resources for students of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. Along with the Skidmore Pride Alliance, OSDI also seeks to educate the wider Skidmore community about heterosexism and cissexism in order to create a more inclusive and welcoming campus climate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, and questioning people. To request a training / workshop or assistance with a specific LGBTQ+ related issue in your club, classroom, department, or office, please contact Hillary Montague-Asp, Director of Student Diversity and Inclusion.

Need someone to talk to about sexuality or gender identity, coming out (or not) to family and friends, campus/local resources, etc.?

Feel free to reach out to Hillary Montague - Asp, Director of Student Diversity and Inclusion, to set up a meeting or simply stop by her office (Case Center 203). As a queer person who has worked with queer and trans college students for the past 12 years, Hillary's door is always open and her office is stocked with tea, cider, hot chocolate, fidget toys, and snacks!

You can also make an appointment at the Counseling Center by calling (518-580-5555) or stopping in! They have a clinician on-call 24/7 and have same-day appointments available for those in need!
